
DESCRIPTION: Three Bed Family Home in Garden Plot for a Private Client in Falmouth, Cornwall

For this project our Client wished to obtain planning on a garden plot. Requirements were to achieve as much footprint area as possible for a single storey dwelling, whilst taking into consideration resident privacy and being sensitive to the overlooking neighbouring houses.
The independent garden setting allowed for a rural style, demonstrated in the use of timber cladding and slightly rustic look to the building. The natural timber will silver over time and allow the building to bed into the landscape. The overhanging profile roof is a strong and deliberate feature; it is functional, but also creates an intended agricultural feel, suitable to a garden building. The roof also provides ample shade and privacy to the large windows.
